Study Group
One of the best ways to further weaving knowledge and skill is to participate in a study group with other guild members.
Our Warped Weavers study group meets at members’ homes on the 2nd Monday of the month (September to June) at 10 a.m. Each year a new topic is chosen for an in depth study.
For our 2010-2011 study, we have embarked on the Breadcloth Project. Using the same fiber (8/2 unmercerized cotton) and the same basic colors (natural and black), study group members have each chosen one more color. We will each weave ten breadcloths, discussing our weave structure choices, progress and challenges during the course of the year. In June, we will have a breadcloth exchange!
