Any interested fiber group in the greater Mid-Atlantic region may request acceptance as a Member Guild in the MidAtlantic Fiber Association. (The region includes guilds in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and such other states as may be determined by the Board of Directors.)
In addition, any interested commercial enterprise, institution, organization, school or individual who is not a member of a Member Guild may request acceptance as an Associate Member.
Member guilds send one representative to the Representative Assemblies held two to three times per year, where each guild has one vote. Associate members have no vote in the Representative Assemblies, although they are welcome to attend.
Membership dues are set by the Board of Directors, approved by Member Guilds, and are valid for a membership period of TWO years. They are payable upon acceptance of membership, and renewals by October 1st of even-numbered years. Guilds joining prior to the Conference in odd-numbered years will pay full dues and renew the next even-numbered year. Guilds joining after the conference or anytime in an even-numbered year will pay full dues and their membership will extend to the following regular renewal date (eg if your Guild joins in late-2017/early-2018, your membership will renew in 2020.)
Guild dues are based on guild membership size. For 2018, guild dues are:
- Fewer than 25 members: $60
- 26-50 members: $70
- 51-100 members: $100
- 101 or more members: $150
Associate member dues for 2018: $40
